
History of Soulard
Soulard is the oldest residential district in the city of St. Louis, and began growing in the 1840's. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and a City of St. Louis Historic District. Named for Antoine Soulard, whose widow, Julia Cerre Soulard, gave 2 city blocks for use as a public market. Soulard Market stands there today.

Anheuser Busch
World famous clydesdales are the ambassadors of AB, and their original stables are a must see on the brewery tour. Tourists love these magnificent horses and their dalmation pal too.
